Our 2026 programs will include competitive and social options for women and gender-diverse people and new opportunities for junior girls to get involved in the game. Whether you're looking to compete, improve your skills, or simply enjoy playing football in a fun and inclusive setting, Northside FC has a place for you.

Here’s what’s coming up in 2026

Women’s State League & Metropolitan League

Northside FC is expanding our women’s football program in 2026, with plans to field at least two senior teams in Football Victoria Women’s competitions, competing under West Preston–Northside FC.

We’re aiming to participate in:

  • Women’s State League 5 North

  • Women’s Metropolitan League

As a new club, we’ve begun in State League 5 with the goal of progressing to higher divisions in future seasons. Our players bring a wide range of experience, from former State League 1 players to those just starting out.

The Metropolitan League team will have a strong community focus, offering full-pitch football in a relaxed and social environment. It’s a great option for beginners, returning players, or anyone looking for a supportive space to enjoy the game without the pressure of high-level competition.

Both teams are designed for individuals who want to play full-pitch football in a competitive setting.

Social football program

Northside FC offers flexible social football opportunities for anyone looking to stay active, develop skills, and be part of a welcoming football community — without the commitment of competition.

Training-Only Memberships
Northside FC welcomes training-only members. We understand that busy schedules, injuries, or other commitments can make it hard to take part in competition football, but training is a great way to stay connected to the game, to fitness and to a football community.

Northside Kick Ons
Northside Kick Ons is the club’s social football sessions – relaxed, short-format games open to club members, friends, and the wider community. Perfect for those new to the game, time-poor, or simply looking for a fun way to stay active. They’re a great way to enjoy the game in a supportive, inclusive environment.

They’re ideal for:

  • Women and gender-diverse adults

  • Players of all skill levels and backgrounds

  • Busy people looking for a regular kick

  • Those seeking a fun, welcoming football community

  • Anyone who loves connecting through sport

Pride Football Australia Tournament

Northside FC proudly competed in the Pride Football Australia Tournament in 2025 held on the 11 October at the Home of the Matildas in Melbourne, taking home the Julie Murray Cup in our inaugural year.

The Pride Football Australia Tournament is an annual event organised by Pride Football Australia, bringing together football players and supporters from across the country to celebrate diversity, inclusion, and a shared love of the game.

We’re excited to contest our title again, with the next tournament planned for Perth in October 2026.

Junior Girls Program

Northside FC welcomes opportunities to support girls in football and grow participation in our community. We believe in creating pathways for girls to enjoy the game, build confidence, and be part of a supportive football environment.

While we don’t currently have an active junior girls program, we’re open to supporting one in the future, or welcoming existing teams and coaches who are looking for a club to call home.
